Senator Richard Gordon shares how, more than a decade ago, the Volunteers of Subic transformed the former US military bases into an economic zone and how he had to change not just the mindsets of the people but their very soul. Gordon was invited as keynote speaker in the 5th Conference on Volunteerism organized by the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre of Singapore. The former Olongapo Mayor and founding Chairman of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority inspired hundreds of local and international volunteers who attended the two-day conference held at the Raffles City Convention Center in Singapore.
