Vintage bomb found by Zambales fishermen

MASINLOC, Zambales -- After one year in their possession, three fishermen turned over a vintage bomb they fished out in Sitio Binomatalan, Sta. Cruz, Zambales.

A report reaching the office of Zambales police director Senior Supt. Francisco Santiago, Jr. said the vintage bomb is 2.5 meters long, 45 cetemeters wide and weighing 700 kilos.

The bomb was found near the island of Hermana Mayor by fishermen Ernesto Torres Jr, 40, and brothers Benjie, 27, and Bernard Enerva, 29, both of Masinloc.

Bomb specialists from Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga, certified that the bomb might be exploded after they found the bomb detonating cord still intact that may create a 50-meter crater.

The bomb found 20 feet under the sea off the island of Hermana Mayor was placed under the custody of a bomb specialist and will be disposed at Crow Valley in Capas, Tarlac. by : Mamer BaƱez - journal.com.ph
