Unang Bahagi ng Philippine Olympics,Gaganapin sa Olongapo at SBFZ

Magaganap sa Lungsod ng Olongapo at Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SBFZ) ang unang bahagi ng Philippine Olympic Festival sa ika-2 hanggang 6 ng Abril 2008.

Magkatuwang ang Lungsod ng Olongapo at Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) sa pagho-host ng Central Northern Luzon – Cordillera Administrative Region (CNL-CAR) Qualifying Games, ang primerang bahagi ng Philippine Olympic Festival.

Kaugnay nito ay nilagdaan na kamakailan nina City Mayor James ''Bong'' Gordon, Jr. at SBMA Administrator Armand Arreza at Philippine Olympic Festival Chairman Robert Aventajado ang Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) sa pagdaraos ng naturang athletic event.

Dalawampung sports events ang hatid ng Philippine Olympic Festival. Kabilang dito ang aquatics, archery, arnis, athletics, baseball, chess, football, gymnastics, judo, karate, muay, power lifting, sepak-takraw, table tennis, taekwondo, wrestling, golf, softball at volleyball.

Ilan naman sa mga sports events sa CNL-CAR Qualifying Games na magaganap sa lungsod ng Olongapo ay ang aquatics na gaganapin sa YMCA Olongapo, football sa East Tapinac Oval Track, muay at sepak takraw sa Rizal Triangle Multi-Purpose Center, power lifting at taekwondo sa Olongapo City Convention Center, at volleyball sa Olongapo City National High School.

Matapos ang CNL-CAR Qualifying Games sa Olongapo at SBFZ, tutulak ang Olympic Festival sa Lanao del Norte para sa Mindanao Qualifying Games sa ika-21-25 ng Mayo 2008, sa Manila para sa NCR Qualifying Games sa ika-25-29 ng Hunyo 2008, sa Negros Oriental para sa Visayas Qualifying Games sa ika-23-27 ng Hulyo 2008, sa Trace College sa Laguna para sa Bicol Southern Tagalog Qualifying Games sa ika-10-14 ng Setyembre 2008 at sa Misamis Oriental para sa National Championships sa ika-20-26 ng Oktubre 2008.

Ang Philippine Olympic Festival ay sponsored ng Globe, Accel, Summit and 100 Plus, AMA Computer University, Negros Navigation, Philippine Star, at Creativity Lounge at suportado rin ng Department of Education at Department of Interior and Local Government.

  • what the hell happened to remy field? bakit nila inalis yung Goal post dun. bat sa kabila nila nilagay? sino maglalaro ng football dun e walang ilaw dun? pls bring it back.
