Two OFWs die in Oman road accident

Two Filipinas working in Oman died over the weekend after figuring in a road accident, ABS-CBN Middle East News Bureau reported Tuesday.
Correspondent Rowen Soldevilla named the fatalities as Teresista Mayo, age 49 and a resident of Olongapo City in Zambales province. The other victim was identified as 45-year-old Alma Bitamor of Aklan province.
Bitamor was an accountant while Mayo worked as a merchandiser for Al Jadeed Company in Muscat.
The report said the victims came from a branch of their supermarket chain and were on their way to the head office in Muscat when the accident took place. It was unclear how the accident took place.
The Philippine embassy in Muscat is already coordinating with Omani officials for the repatriation of the victims' remains.
