USS Cable returns from mission to Subic Bay
The submarine tender USS Frank Cable returned to Guam on Wednesday after making its first call on Subic Bay in the Philippines, the Navy said in a news release.
Sailors completed 10 days of at-sea training before pulling into Subic Bay, where the crew provided support and repairs to the USS Pasadena, it said.
Sailors also helped local village workers build houses and a school in Zambales.
The Frank Cable is the U.S. Pacific Fleet’s only operational submarine tender and deploys throughout the Western Pacific to provide services to submarines and surface ships. Stars and Stripes
