51 NEW CAREGIVERS
Fifty-one students successfully completed the Caregiver course and received their Certificates of Completion during the 2nd Commencement Exercises of the Department of Vocational and Technical Education (DVTE) of Gordon College at FMA Hall. The rites carried the theme “Setting New Standards for Filipinos in the Global Workforce”.
As the occasion’s guest speaker, Dir. Elizabeth DM. Manio, Provincial Director, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Zambales delivered her message for the graduates.
“Praktikal na dahilan ng mga estudyante ang pag-a-abroad kaya sila kumukuha ng kursong Caregiver. Ang kursong ito ay TESDA accredited na kung saan nakapaloob ang mga skills na dapat nilang malaman when it comes to care giving. Kaya’t sa inyong pagtahak sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng mundo…ipadama niyo ang kakaibang galing ng mga Filipino pagdating sa care giving,” Manio stated.
Vice Mayor Cynthia Cajudo who acted as the representative of Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr., Chairman of Gordon College Board of Trustees awarded the guest speaker with a Certificate of Recognition.
The Certificates of Completion were handed-over to the graduates by Vice Mayor Cajudo, Director Manio.
The graduates who received awards were Jing E. Mostacho as Most Outstanding Student, Juanita Icban who was acknowledged as Best in Hospital Procedures, Myrna Gonzales as Best in Pediatricare and Dexter Amanonce as Best in Geriatric Care.
During Vice Mayor Cajudo’s inspirational message, she emphasized the importance of education and dedication to any job/occupation an individual has.
“Tatahakin niyo na ang real challenges outside the four walls of the classroom. Make Gordon College proud! Good luck sa inyong lahat,” Vice Mayor Cajudo happily stated.
