AGRI-BUSINESS INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES SA CENTRAL LUZON

Nagpulong kamakailan ang mga local chief executives (LCEs) at mga government agencies ng Central Luzon sa King’s Royale Hotel and Leisure Park sa Bacolor, Pampanga upang pag-usapan ang investment opportunities at potential ng mga agri-business products ng rehiyon.

Pinag-usapan sa naturang pagpupulong ang ilang proyekto ng pitong probinsya ng rehiyon na nagkakahalaga ng humigit kumulang sa P763 M.

Kabilang sa mga regional projects ang itatayong ‘Regional Center for Ruminants’ kung saan makikinabang ang mga livestock raisers, backyard and semi-commercial raisers, goat raisers, at iba pa.

Ang private at public investments na ito ay nagkakahalaga ng P50 M at pangungunahan ng Department of Agriculture, Region III.

Kabilang sa parte ng naturang proyekto ay ang regional breeding center, integrated goat production techno-demo modules, agribusiness center, regional goat and sheep training center at coordination, monitoring and evaluation upang masiguro na ang proyekto ay maayos na naipapatupad.

Isa pang proyekto para sa rehiyon ay ang pagtatayo ng Agricultural Tramline para sa mga probinsya ng Central Luzon. Ito ay itatayo sa iba’t-ibang lugar sa rehiyon tulad ng sa Bagac at Samal sa Bataan, Palinlang at Balite sa Pampanga at sa Botolan, Castillejos, Subic at San Marcelino sa Zambales.

Naging presentor din si Olongapo City Mayor James ‘Bong’ Gordon Jr. Tinalakay niya ang ‘Proposed Central Luzon Freeport One Stop Shop Processing and Bagsakan Center connected via Subic Seaport RORO’.

Cacao Production
Coffee Production and Expansion

Bataan-
Expansion of Fish Processing

Bulacan-
Establishment of Mango Packaging House and Extended Water Treatment Facility

Nueva Ecija-
Rehabilitation and Retrofitting of Grain Drying Facilities with Rice Hull Fed Furnace

Tarlac-
Establishment of Pesticide Analytical Laboratory

Zambales-
Mango Productivity Enhancement

Ang pagpupulong, ‘Presentation of Agribusiness Investment Opportunities in Central Luzon for Local Chief Executives’, ay alinsunod sa layunin ni Presidente Gloria Macapagal Arroyo na palakasin pa lalo ang ekonomiya ng Central Luzon bilang parte ng Regional Development Council (RDC) masterplan.

“Napakahalaga ang agricultural sector lalo na sa panahong ito. Mas maigi na palakasin pa natin ang potential ng mga agri-business products natin upang lumakas ang ekonomiya at mabigyan ng magandang kabuhayan ang mga mamamayan,” ani Mayor Gordon.

Si Mayor James ‘Bong’ Gordon Jr. habang ipine-present ang proposed ‘Central Luzon Freeport One Stop Shop Processing and Bagsakan Center Connected via Subic Seaport via RORO’ sa ginanap na ‘Presentation of Agribusiness Investment Opportunities in Central Luzon for Local Chief Executives’, sa King’s Royale Hotel and Leisure Park sa Bacolor, Pampanga kamakailan.
