Olongapo most wanted falls

OLONGAPO CITY -- The most wanted person in this city was arrested by joint elements of Zambales Criminal Investigation and Detection Team and Intelligence Unit of the Olongapo City Police Office.

ZCIDT provincial officer, Chief Insp. Rogelio Peñones Jr., identified the suspect as Charlie Pineda, 28, and resident of 37 Woodhouse St., Bgy. Gordon Heights.

Suspect was arrested at around 2:30 p.m. by a team composed of PO3 Kim Dominic Gamboa, Chen Ramirez of the ZCIDT, and Chief Insp. Julius Caesar Domingo of the Olongapo Intelligence Unit, based on arrests warrants for murder issued by Judge Richard Paradeza and slight physical injuries issued by Judge Norman Pamintuan, MTC, Branch 4, with a recommended bail of P2,000.

Report said suspect was among the six suspects conspired in the killing of Fernando Petilo, 22, at about 10:15 p.m. of March 1, 2005 at Santolan Extention, Purok 3, Bgy. New Cabalan, Olongapo City.

Pineda is detained at the Zambales CIDT detention cell and will be transferred to the Olongapo City jail. By: Mamer Bañez - Journal online
