“TransCo’s Reminder to Olongapeños”

The National Transmission Corporation (TransCo) has issued a reminder for residents living near posts and towers of electricity to be aware of what and what not do to avoid accidents which might result to injuries or even death and damage to properties.

These are the ff:

• Don’t burn grasses, garbage or anything near electric posts.
• Don’t fly kites near electrical power lines.
• Don’t throw stones or anything on the insulators that holds the line of electricity.
• Don’t plant trees or build structures near electric power lines.
• Don’t cut trees near electric power lines.
• Don’t pass under electric power lines especially carrying something that might hit the line.
• Don’t tie animals in electric power lines.
• Inform Transco on plans to burn anything electric power lines.

Transco also encourages Olongapeños to cooperate by reporting if there are people who are trying to sabotage electric power lines in the city.

Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. is steadfast in his efforts to keep electric power service in Olongapo affordable and of high quality. Among these is the modernization of the electric power distribution with the Private Sector Participation.
