MAYOR GORDON AWARDS LAROLYMPICS WINNERS

Mayor James ‘’Bong’’ Gordon, Jr. handed out medals and trophies to this year’s winners of Larolympics last September 1, 2009 at the Rizal Triangle Multi-Purpose Covered Court.

It can be recalled that a total of five hundred (500) attendees from the seventeen barangays (17) of Olongapo aged seven (7) to ten (10) participated in the Chikiting Category while adolescents aged eleven (11) to fifteen (15) competed in Patintero, Piko and Tumbang Preso of Bagets Category.

Larolympics coined from the words ‘’larong pinoy’’ and Olympics, is a brainchild of Anak TV Foundation held in coordination with the Olongapo City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) last July 17 and 18 2009 at the Rizal Triangle Multi-Purpose Center.
