BUSINESS PERMIT PAYMENT EXTENDED!
Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. approved Ordinance No. 05 Series of 2010 or the Ordinance Extending the Deadline of Payment for Mayor’s Permit (Business Permit) Fees for Business and Business Taxes for both full and/or first quarter due for the Year 2010.
Because of the global financial crisis which started in 2008, there was a significant decline in the revenue and sales of the local businesses. Local business owners are still recuperating from the said crisis making it difficult for them to meet the deadline for the Mayor’s Permit originally set January 20, 2010.
Mayor Bong Gordon and both City Treasurer and the City Business Permit Division Officer acknowledged the situation and vouched for the extension of the deadline of payment for Mayor’s Permit due for the Year 2010 until February 12, 2010.
The ordinance was passed unanimously by the city council led by Vice Mayor Cynthia Cajudo and City Councilors Edwin J. Piano, Aquilino Y. Cortez, Jr., Anselmo A. Aquino, Elena C. Dabu, Jonathan G. Manalo and Cheenee F. Hoya.
This legislation acts as the city government’s goodwill and support to the business community of Olongapo City.
