Olongapo City Government Business One Stop Shop, now ISO Certified!
“I am very proud to impart that the city’s Business One Stop Shop or B.O.S.S. program is now ISO 9001:2008 certified,” Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. proudly announced at the flag raising ceremonies held last January 25, 2010 at the Rizal triangle Covered Court.
“The ISO 9001:2008 registration certifies that formalized business procedures are being applied in the processing and issuance of mayor’s permits for business establishments,” Neal Perez explained, head of City Business Permit and Licensing Division (CBPD), the lead agency at the B.O.S.S. program.
“Valid from January 12, 2010 to January 11, 2013, the ISO 9001:2008 certification can be used to advertise that our B.O.S.S program consistently meets an international management system standard which is beneficial in fostering a progressive business climate in the city,” Perez added.
It can be recalled that Mayor Gordon initiated the conception of B.O.S.S. with the CBPD as lead agency together with the City Planning and Development Office, City Health Office, City Engineering, Bureau of fire Protection, and Environmental Sanitation and Management Office (ESMO) to promote business-friendly and best practices in the processing and issuance of mayor’s permits.
