FIRE TRUCK-PUMPER AND AMBULANCE COURTESY OF PNRC

Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. led the turn-over of a fire truck pumper and an Ambulance to the Disaster Management Office (DMO) from the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC).

The vehicles were donated by PNRC through Chairman and Senator Richard Gordon to the city as assistance to emergency and rescue operations. “This is clearly a manifestation of the strong partnership between Sen. Dick Gordon, the PNRC and the city,” Mayor Bong Gordon said.

DMO head Angie Layug received the 2 vehicles from Mayor Bong Gordon at the flag raising ceremonies at the Rizal Triangle Covered Court on March 22, 2010.

‘’Malaki ang tulong ng mga behikulo na ito sa ‘public safety’ ng lungsod. This is in response to the effective and efficient emergency response efforts of the city government and the City Disaster Coordinating Council,’’ Mayor Gordon added.

‘’Ibinigay natin sa DMO ang pag-gamit at pangangalaga sa mga sasakyan dahil kasama sila sa mga unang nagre-responde sa sunog, aksidente at kalamidad kaya mahalaga na meron silang mga sasakyan at equipment,’’ the Mayor concluded.
