Mayor Gordon: Sports Defeats Drugs

It can be recalled that on October 2009, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) thru the assistance of the Olongapo City Police Office, nabbed suspected drug pushers Robert Paul Mason , Mark Anthony Quinday and Enrique “Jun” Magsaysay, Jr. at a hotel in Gordon Avenue and confiscated 6 pieces Demerol 100mg/2ml vials, several transparent plastic sachets containing shabu, a pocket digital weighing scale, 1 piece of Valium 10mg/2ml, and drug paraphernalia such as disposable lighters, glass tubes, aluminum foil, improvised tooters, disposable syringes and needles used to inject dangerous drugs and several pieces of live ammunition for 9mm caliber pistol.

Meanwhile, Mayor Gordon is continuously discovering and encouraging young boxing aspirants to develop their knack and fortitude thru his “Programang Paboksing sa Barangay” and by providing free and live viewing of Manny “Pacman” Paquiao bouts, the Philippines’ Boxing Champ, to inspire sports and boxing hopefuls to work hard for their big dreams.
