Mayor James “Bong” Gordon Jr. and Olongapo First Lady Anne Gordon will lead the celebrations of the 5th year anniversary of ‘Gawang Gapo’ (Made in Olongapo) on August 17,2010 at the lobby of Olongapo City Hall.

The celebration will kick-off with a trade fair from August 9-31, 2010 with over twenty exhibitors at the lobby of the Olongapo City Hall expected to attend.

The trade fair will feature a wide array of products made exclusively by Olongapeños like food, novelty items, accessories and other products.

The ‘Gawang Gapo Product Exhibit’ gives local manufacturers a chance to display and sell their products for a week by providing them space for free at the lobby of the Olongapo City Hall.

Over one hundred (100) exhibitors had availed of the chance to display their products in the ‘Gawang Gapo Product Exhibit’ since 2005.

The exhibit and livelihood project is made possible through the initiative of Mayor Gordon and FL Anne Gordon in line with their target to help Olongapeños start small businesses and other livelihood projects.

This livelihood project aims to make Olongapeños, tourists and other visitors patronize products that are proudly made in Olongapo by Olongapeños.
