The Philippine National Police will simultaneously conduct the nationwide Entrance and Promotional Examinations on April 17, 2011, Sunday.

“This Office, encouraged and inspired by the success of such innovative strategy, intends to conduct the forthcoming examinations in at least five (5) test centers nationwide to include Olongapo City,” according to Raquel Q. Ramos, National Police Commission (Napolcom) Region 3 Director.

“We are expecting some 900 examinees both in the promotional and entrance examinations,” Ramos added.

“Certainly, the conduct of examination in Olongapo City will boost the morale of the PNP in the City and nearby provinces. This will also open the opportunity for civilians to join the PNP service,” explained Ruben C. Delos Santos, Napolcom Director for Olongapo, Zambales and Bataan.

“Through the efforts of Mayor James “Bong” Gordon Jr., Olongapo has been chosen for the second time for the PNP entrance and Promotional exams," said delos Santos.

“Ang gusto ko, maraming taga-Olongapo at Zambales ang maka-pag-pulis kaya sinikap kong magkaroon ng exams dito,” said Mayor Gordon, “para mahikayat ang ating mga kababayan dahil tipid na sa gastos, tipid pa sa pagod at oras ng biyahe."
