Kalaklan Lighthouse Bridge will be open for light vehicles starting April 16
We inspected the old bridge this afternoon and found that its ready to accommodate light vehicles starting tomorrow. Construction equipment and materials were cleared and the barricades were placed on the sides indicating that indeed it will be opened.
A vehicle tried to pass through the bridge this afternoon but was advised that as per instruction, they can only allow light vehicle starting tomorrow morning.
Heavy equipment making the last minute asphalting in preparation for the temporary use of the bridge to ease traffic due to influx of vehicle this Holy Week.
Construction of the new bridge is in full swing, engineers assured the public that it will be ready by July this year.
