Hermosa locator to hire 3,000 workers

HERMOSA, Bataan--Hermosa Mayor Danny Malana said Sumi Philippines Wiring Systems Corp.is taking in about 3,000 workers once it starts full operation next year.

The Japanese firm, which is engaged in manufacturing, exporting and sales of automotive wiring harness and maintenance service, is a major locator at Hermosa Ecozone Industrial Park.

Malana said Sumi has invested about P300 million to put up its facility.

Earlier, SPWS president Takashi Takagaki said the plant site and design are tailored to ensure safe working conditions and compliance to labor laws.

According to Malana, HEIP is a 165-hectare industrial estate component in a 478-hectare mixed-use property development in the municipality.

Locators have access to the international seaport and airport facilities of Subic, along with Clark and Bataan freeport and economic zones. Butch Gunio - manilastandardtoday.com
