SBMA & 3 locators losses millions to thieves

Not a good week for SBMA Law Enforcers.

In recent days, millions were lost to thieves victimizing Subic Freeport locators including the treasury of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority. At least three other locators were victimized, targeting the money vault is said to be the modus operandi in cases recently reported.

The person in charge of collections in SBMA's treasury office could not be immediately questioned by investigators since he is nowhere to be found.

The heist at SBMA Treasury was discovered this morning when employees noticed that the vault was left open and unsecured, lost in the vault were initialy estimated at 1.7M. The authority suspects that it happened in the last 24hrs since it has been a practice in SBMA Treasury to keep the collections in the vault when its depository, Land Bank is closed for holidays.
