Bataan balikbayans tour Anvaya Cove
More than 70 balikbayans of the "1st Balik Bataan" Program recently visited the site of Anvaya Cove as part of the week-long homecoming activities arranged by the local government to reacquaint the returning Filipinos with the recent developments in and around the province of Bataan.
As Ayala Land Premiere’s first leisure community project in Morong, Bataan, Anvaya Cove became the site of a lavish welcome luncheon that capped the balikbayan day-tour with a spectacular view of the 320-hectare property and its synergy of sea and mountain as seen from the onsite sales pavilion.
Located at the southern mouth of Subic Bay and only a few minutes away from the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Anvaya Cove is one of the major projects that seek to revive the tourism and commerce in the Bataan province.
Maria Victoria Garcia, wife of Gov. Enrique Garcia of Bataan, along with Rep. Albert Garcia, former mayor of Balanga, led the busload of Filipino tourists on an early morning tour to the Pawikan sanctuary before driving up to Ayala’s newest premier residential resort development north of Manila.
"The Balik Bataan program was envisioned to allow those who have migrated abroad to become updated with the recent developments and improvements in the province. We wanted to give them more reasons to come back, visit, and even retire here in Bataan," explained Mrs. Garcia.
The matriarch of the program explained that the "Balik Bataan" was an expansion of the "Balik Balanga" project spearheaded by Rep. Albert Garcia, when he was still Mayor of Balanga. The primary objective of the project was to revitalize tourism in Balanga with the influx of returning migrant Filipinos.
The "Balik Bataan" program seeks to replicate the success of its predecessor project for the benefit of the entire province.
"This first group of balikbayans will be our catalyst, since they will be the ones who will spread the news of a new and revitalized Bataan to their families abroad. And with the developments that we have allowed them to experience, we expect an exponential growth of Filipino tourists to come flocking back to Bataan in the years to come. And of course, now that they have seen this new premier residential resort called Anvaya Cove, we expect tourism to boom once again in the province," stated Mrs. Garcia.
After enjoying the delectable Filipinocuisine luncheon, members of the delegation were invited to experience the majestic view of development as seen from the onsite sales pavilion. Ayala executives and brokers also engaged the guests in guided tours around the property. Several 4x4 vehicles were provided for guests to witness the pristine beauty of The Cliffside and The Mango Grove — the first two residential neighborhoods to be offered in Anvaya Cove. The tour also allowed the guests to envision what it would be like to live in a neighborhood that embraces nature and where the majestic beauty of the mountains and sea come together to create a home that epitomizes the concept of leisure.

Unfortunately, Anvaya Cove is so outragiously priced, that most Balikbayans would rather spend their money retiring in the states.
Retireing in the Philippines would mean affordable house and land, not makeing high monthly payments as we now do here in the U.S.
There are much, much better deals for retirees throughout the Philippines.
They need to focus strictly on Californian expats.
