One killed in bus explosion in Olongapo

One man was killed Thursday in an explosion inside a passenger bus in a northern Philippine city, a police official said. Chief Superintendent Ismael Rafanan said the explosion occurred in the rear of a Victory Liner passenger bus while it was parking at a depot in Olongapo City, 90 kilometres north-west of Manila.

Rafanan said the passengers had already disembarked from the bus before the explosion, which killed the bus conductor.

Investigators were still determining the cause of the blast.
