20th Philippine Advertising Congress in Subic, Zambales

Manila Bulletin Editorial

THE largest gathering of advertising professionals and the nation’s biggest advertisers is now being held at Subic, the 20th Philippine Advertising Congress, with the theme "New Order." The Ad Congress, hosted by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies-Philippines (4As), will enable the participants to examine how the local advertising industry has made it in the changing new global order.

The Congress will hold sessions to update and engage the professionals present in examining new dimensions, techniques, and challenges facing the industry. Yesterday discussions centered on marketing and media, with topics ranging from Marketing to Asian Kids to Imagination and Creativity in the Contemporary World, to Evolution of Print Publishing in an Increasingly Digital World. Today, there will be discussions on creativity, with experts from various countries speaking on such areas as gaming and entertainment, mobile advertising, award-winning global Internet and mobile campaigns, and mobile digital film-making.

The final day of the congress, November 24, will provide time for the delegates to the Congress to engage in friendly sports and recreational activities. At the end of the day, the Araw Awards will be presented, recognizing outstanding advertisers, advertisements, and production houses.

The Congress once more proves the creativity, competence, and depth of the Philippine advertising industry.

We congratulate the organizers of the 20th Philippine Advertising Congress, led by Adboard Chairman Andre S. Khan, and Overall Chairman Yolanda V. Ong, other Officers and Members, and wish them all the success in their endeavors
