COMPUTER MOBILE EDUCATION
In coordination with AI-HU Foundation headed by its president Joseph Lim Bon Huan, the Olongapo City Government under the leadership of Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. will launch free computer training for the benefit of young Olongapeños.
The free computer training program aims to enable more than three hundred (300) youth from the marginalized community in the city to learn information technology.
“Grade school and high school students, as well as out-of-school youth, who cannot afford basic computer skills trainings are qualified in this Computer Mobile Program,” Mayor Gordon said.

AI-Hu Foundation will bring computer instructors from Manila to facilitate lectures and trainings regarding Basic PC, Windows Operating System, MS Office with additional lectures on Values Formation and Personality Enhancement.
The participants will be grouped into two (2) batches. Each batch will be grouped into four (4) classes with twenty (20) students each. Students will undergo two-hour (2 hour) training sessions, for three weeks from Mondays thru Fridays.
The first batch of the said training program, composed of 150 qualified participants, will start formal training sessions on April 7. Screening for the second batch will be on April 14.
A 40-foot container van will serve as a computer laboratory. Inside the container van are twenty one (21) computer units, six (6) lights, three (3) electric fans, one printer, 1-24 port switch and two air conditioning units making it a conducive learning environment for the participants.
It can be recalled that free trainings are part of Mayor Gordon’s HELPSS program for health, education, livelihood, peace and order, social services and sports.
AI-HU Foundation has chosen Olongapo as one of the beneficiary communities of the “Education on Wheels/Van Aralan Program” to provide free computer skills to the youth for nine weeks (from April 7 to June 7).
AI-HU Foundation is a non-government organization, launched in 2007 by Filipino-Chinese businessmen. “AI-HU” is a Mandarin word which in English means “love and care”. PAO/jpb/
