‘GMA opens BPO firm at Clark Freepot’

CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga – President Arroyo opened here yesterday the latest US-based business process outsourcing (BPO) company here that employs over 10,000 workers.

Mrs. Arroyo inagurated the NCO Philippines that put up its fourth site in the country that currently employs 3,000 full-time employees in Clark. It is subdiary of NCO group, which operates an international network of over 100 customer contact centers in 10 countries, including Antiqua, Australia, Barbados, Canada, India, Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom.

She was accompanied by Trade and Industry Secretary Peter Favila and NCO Philippines officials led by vice president and country manager Elek Christopher Toth and assistant vice president for Clark David Rodabaugh.

The firm also has BPO centers in Quezon City with 4,100 full-time employees; The Fort in Taguig City 1,300 employees; and at Subic in Olongapo City with 2,100 employees.

NCO Philippines is scheduled to put up more BPO locations in Baguio City, and Marikina City, a company statement said.
