A person can be a DDB-PDEA "private eye" by filling up an information report form (IRF) at the PDEA regional office

Once the information is positive, payment in cash or check will be made through special arrangement to keep the Private Eye’s identity a secret.
In exchange for the reward, he should submit to Operation Private Eye secretariat the original copy of the IRF, signifying that he had received already the payment or reward.
In case his identity is compromised, he would be provided security assistance.
As cited in the rewards schedule for drug-related cases, a Private Eye can receive a reward as much as over R1.5million and as low as R1,000 for information resulting in the confiscation or recovery of shabu, cocaine, heroin, Ecstasy tablets or dangerous drug diverted productions; confiscation, recovery or destruction of marijuana crops or its derivatives provided the cultivator or planter is arrested in the operation; or the dismantling of a shabu laboratory.
Additional 20 percent of the total reward would be given to the informant if the drug pusher or trafficker is arrested. The purity of the drug or precursor and essential chemical, as certified by a government forensic laboratory, will also be considered in the computation of reward.
Operation Private Eye is a joint project of the DDB and PDEA that urges ordinary citizens to act as private detectives in the anti-illegal drug campaign.
