Belly-dancing contest at Subic

The big event of the week on my SkyCable Platinum cable TV subscription (took me two years to get it) was not US Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke’s testimony but Miss Universe.

Every imaginable precaution was taken to protect me. On the table in front of me were my blood pressure pills, my asthma sprays, tranquilizers, a nebulizer, blood pressure monitor and even a ventilator. Standing by were two doctors, one a cardiologist. I declined the services of a priest.

As soon as I saw Miss Venezuela (her figure curves in four dimensions), I announced confidently that she would win. The swimsuit contest was titillating and when the girls walked down the ramp two abreast, my thoughts went down mammary lane. I hope Miss USA enjoyed the trip. Next month, there will be a belly-dancing contest televised from Subic. Why Subic? Because it is a navel base.
