15th PHILIPPINE COUNCILOR’S LEAGUE WEEK
The Philippine Councilor’s League (PCL) recently celebrated the 15h PCL Week themed: “PCL, Kalusugan, Kalikasan at Kabuhayan. Susi sa kaunlaran.” The Olongapo City chapter, headed by City Councilor Gina Perez, held several activities and programs in line with the celebration.
A feeding program was held at Mactan, Old Cabalan. There was also a free medical, dental, eye-check-up and legal counseling.
The next activity held was a tree planting and feeding program at the Olongapo City Landfill at Brgy. New Cabalan.
The culminating activity of the celebration was held at the Rizal Triangle Multi-Purpose Center on September 29, 2008. Activities held included free welding training, dimsum making training, massage training and a mini job-fair.
“Ang mga programa na ito ay isinasagawa upang maisakatuparan ang layunin ng PCL at matulungan ang mga mamamayan,” said Perez. “Ang lahat ng ito’y naayon sa mga programa ni Mayor James ‘Bong” Gordon Jr. para sa kapakanan ng mga mamayan.”
