Reader's comments on 'Gapo tree cutting

THE Ombudsman last September 2006 suspended Helen Aggabao of Olongapo City National High School for illegal collection of fees and maintenance of a private kindergarten right inside the premises of a government school.

Aggabao, was charged with collecting unauthorized school fees and contributions, as well as rental fees from stall owners in the school canteen, without issuing official receipts. She also allegedly charged students 15 pesos an hour for computers that were actually donated to the school.

The Olongapo high school principal was also cited for establishing a preparatory school right inside the government high school. The private pre-school reportedly charged pupils 6,000 pesos per year and used the services of the high school’s teachers.

we were told that aggabao intends to put up stalls where the trees use to be

and why are the authorities not making any attemp to stop the continuing clean-up of evidences in the site?? its a crime scene that must be preserved if they are serious in bringing the perpetuators behind bars
