CANADIAN EXPERTS VISIT ‘GAPO FOR THE 6TH TIME
Canadian flood experts, Stanley Taylor and Michael Cooke are back in Olongapo City for the sixth time. The Canadians arrived in the Philippines with Windsor Councilor Percy Hatfield last week to continue their Evaluation and Technical Exchange Mission in the city as part of its Sisterhood Pact with Windsor.
During the flag raising ceremony last February 09, 2009, Hatfield thanked the Olongapeños for making him feel most welcome. He also added, “Mayor Bong has traveled to Windsor in Canada reaching out a hand of friendship and a joint spirit of international cooperation as he is Fighting for Excellence for this community.”
The series of studies about the city’s land use and watershed management are part of the ongoing Capacity Building Partnership of Olongapo City and Windsor, Canada. They will conduct evaluation missions, reviews and discussions of the said project until February 20, 2009.
