5 arrested in Subic drug raid
Five people were arrested and more than P300,000 worth of illegal drugs were confiscated by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Zambales province Friday morning, a police official said.
Senior Superintendent Rolando Felix, provincial police director, identified the suspects as Melamo Sabian, Mercelito Aquino, Ian Aquino, Emelio Lopez Jr., and Jar Ar dela Cruz.
The five were arrested by virtue of a search warrant served by the PDEA in three houses in the village of Calapacuan, Subic.
Also confiscated were 47 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) with a street value of around P315,000, Felix said.
