OLONGAPO CITY’S SUMMER SPORTS PROGRAM
The Olongapo City Government headed by Mayor James ‘’Bong’’ Gordon, Jr. has sponsored anew several summer sports programs to provide kids and teenagers the specific training in different sports disciplines and help them develop values that would guide them both inside and outside the sporting areas.
‘’Make it an exciting and educational summer break for the kids by enrolling them at the summer sports program,’’ Mayor Gordon said during the flag raising ceremony of government officials and employees on March 30, 2009.
The program will be held from April 24 to 30, 2009 to teach seven (7) to sixteen (16) years old kids and teenagers the basics of basketball, swimming, chess, badminton, soccer football and volleyball in a unique, fun-filled and scientific manner.
Venue of the summer sports program will be the Rizal Triangle Multi-Purpose Center, East Tapinac Oval Track (ETOT), YMCA Swimming Pool and G4 Chess Club.
Highly-trained and experienced coaches will be supervising the program to make sure trainees develop to their full potential.
Aside from loving their skills, the summer sports program will also help kids and teenagers develop their character-forming values like discipline, teamwork, self-resilience and fair play.
More information, inquiries and registration maybe directed to the City Mayor’s Office, 2nd Floor, City Hall and Disaster Management Office (DMO) located at Dela Cruz Drive, East Tapinac, Olongapo City. The offices’ are open every Mondays through Friday at the following hours: 8:00 am to 12:00 nn and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
