FIRM SUPPORTS OLONGAPO’S SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. has expressed appreciation to Neorex Philkor Inc.’s support of the city’s educational program. ‘’Pinapa-salamatan ko ang kompanya sa kanilang hangarin na tulungan ang lungsod.’’

‘’Dahil sa kanilang educational financial assistance ay marami pang mga kabataan ng lungsod ang makakapag-patuloy ng pag-aaral,’’ Mayor Gordon said during the flag raising ceremony of government officials and employees on April 13, 2009 at the Rizal Triangle Multi-Purpose Center.

It can be recalled that a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed by Mayor Bong Gordon and Neorex Philkor Inc. President Hong Sik Park on March 31, 2009 at the FMA Hall of City Hall.

The company binds itself to grant financial assistance amounting to One Thousand US Dollar (US$1,000) or its equivalent in Philippine currency per month for a period of one (1) year.

Likewise, the City Government will furnish the Neorex Philkor Inc. a list of beneficiaries of the educational sponsorship.

Through the city’s scholarship program, financially constrained but intellectually capable young Olongapeños called ’Scholars ng Bayan’’ will receive full scholarship grants in elementary, high school and college levels in any two (2) and four (4) year courses at Gordon College.
