RED CROSS CELERATES BLOOD DONORS’ MONTH

In observance of the nationwide annual ‘’Blood Donors’ Month’’, the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) conducted a program and blood-letting on July 31, 2009 at the Olongapo City Convention Center (OCCC).

Highlight of the celebration was the recognition ceremony and mass blood donation of more than three hundred (300) donors from different barangays, companies and institutions in Olongapo and the Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SBFZ).

The celebration is to acknowledge volunteers who continuously respond to the increasing demand for blood donations in the country which has been observed to have increased in the past three (3) years.

‘’May the spirit of voluntarism continue in each and everyone of you. Ang bawat dugo na inyong ibibigay ay maaaring maging daan upang magdugtong ng buhay,’’ said Mayor James ‘’Bong’’ Gordon, Jr. during the program.
