DENR INKS CADASTRAL SURVEY CONTRACT FOR OLONGAPO CITY
Region III Department of Environment and Natural Resources Executive Director Ricardo L. Calderon, Region III DENR Technical Director Romeo Verzosa and AB Surveying and Development Engr. Antonio Botor have signed the Cadastral Survey Contract last October 29, 2009 at the Olongapo City Sanggunian Session Hall.
Mayor James ‘’Bong’’ Gordon, Jr. and Vice Mayor Cynthia Cajudo together with City Councilors Gina Perez, Ellen Dabu, Elmo Aquino, Edwin Piano and Community Environment and Natural Resources Officer (CENRO) Atty. Raul Mamac witnesses the contract signing.
‘’The Cadastral Survey of Olongapo is one of the priority projects of the city. This is to provide security of tenure to our residents particularly those who are legal land owners,’’ said Mayor Bong Gordon.
Thru the funding of Senator Richard Gordon, the DENR will cause the four hundred eighty (480)-day Cadastral Survey with project costing P36. 2 million.
“The results of Cadastral Survey will not only speed up the process and lower the cost of land titling application, but will also diminish conflicts or disputes on land boundaries,” Mayor Gordon explained. Pao/sara
