MARDI GRAS NETS P118K FOR OLONGAPO
Olongapo City Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. received from the Metro Olongapo Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (MOCCI) the city’s share in the ‘Olongapo Mardi Gras’ held last October 29-31, 2009.
MOCCI Pres. Aurelio “Bong” Pineda, MOCCI Treasurer Linda Lim and other MOCCI officials turned over to Mayor Bong Gordon the check worth P118,000 with officials and employees of the local government as witnesses at the flag raising ceremonies on December 14, 2009 at the Rizal Triangle Covered Court.
The amount will become part of funds raised by 2009-2010 City Fiesta Committee headed by Olongapo City First Lady and Zambales Vice Gov. Anne Marie Gordon, the 2009 City Fiesta Executive Committee (execom) Chair.
The said amount is fifty percent (50%) of the total income raised in the Mardi Gras, earmarked for the Philhealth Indigency Program, Livelihood Assistance Program and the Scholarship Program of the City Government.
The Metro Olongapo Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (MOCCI) headed by MOCCI Pres. Aurelio Pineda (left of Mayor Gordon) and MOCCI Treasurer Linda Lim (right of Mayor Gordon) turned over to Mayor Bong Gordon the P118,000.00 city government’s fifty percent (50%) share in the income generated from the Olongapo City Mardi Gras held last October 2009.
