NO Subic–Boracay Race 2010

'In the best interest of the event and participants the organizers have decide that the Subic to Boracay race should not take place in 2010. By the close of entry date, only three entries had been received and although a small number of other boats had verbally declared their interest in joining the race. The total potential entry list did not reach the required number.

'The organizers apologise to those that entered the race and hope that they will return next year.

'As some boats have made extensive preparations for the race to Boracay it has been decided that a 130 mile offshore race will take place in the original time slot. The race will start off the Lighthouse at 1000 on Saturday 20 February 2010. The course will take the fleet around Cabra Island (the western point of the Lubang Group) and then to othr islands before returning to Subic Bay.
