ENHANCED HEALTH SERVICES FOR OLONGAPO CITY POLICE OFFICERS
The City Government of Olongapo through James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital (JLGMH) wants to make health care services available to all PNP personnel assigned at the Olongapo City Police Office (OCPO).
Because of this, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Olongapo City has passed Resolution No. 22 Series of 2010 Authorizing the City Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. to Enter and Sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Between James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital (JLGMH) and Olongapo City Police Office (OCPO) represented by the City Director PSSUPT Oscar D. Albayalde to Provide Enhanced Health Services to PNP Personnel Assigned in Olongapo.
The Olongapo City Police Office (OCPO) under the Philippine National Police (PNP) is the primary law enforcement agency tasked to enforce all laws and ordinances relative to the protection of lives and properties, maintain peace and order and take all necessary steps to ensure public safety, investigate and prevent crimes, effect arrest of criminal offenders, bring them to justice and assist in their prosecution and conduct search and seizure in accordance with the Constitution.
In their pursuit to carry-out duties and responsibilities effectively, the safety, health and well-being of all active PNP personnel are constantly being exposed to various risks.
Aware of the limitations encountered in providing adequate, timely and appropriate health services to all active personnel, the PNP desires to engage the services of select Department Of Health (DOH) Retained Hospitals manned by highly qualified medical staff and equipped with adequate medical facilities.
The resolution was approved unanimously by the City Councilors, namely, Aquilino Y. Cortez, sponsor of the resolution, Rodel S. Cerezo, co-sponsor of the resolution, Edwin Piano, Anselmo Aquino and Cheenee Hoya with City Vice Mayor Cynthia Cajudo.
