BRGY. EAST BAJAC-BAJAC AND NEW BANICAIN AS ‘MOST OUTSTANDING LUPONG TAGAPAMAYAPA OF OLONGAPO CITY 2009’

Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. awarded the plaques of recognition to Barangay East Bajac-Bajac and Barangay New Banicain, both winners in the recently concluded “Search for the Most Outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa of Olongapo City 2009”.

Brgy. East Bajac-Bajac chair Filipina Tablan together with her Lupon Members received the plaque and P8,000.00 cash incentive from Mayor Bong Gordon at the flag raising ceremony at the Rizal Triangle Covered Court on March 29,2010.

Six (6) barangays competed for the Search for the Most Outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa of Olongapo City 2009 and Brgy. East Bajac-Bajac won as over-all champion in the Outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa Hall of Famers’ Category.

Brgy. New Cabalan came in as 1st runner-up, Brgy. Old Cabalan 2nd runner-up and Brgy. Sta. Rita 3rd runner-up under the same category. Each of the runners-up received a plaque and cash incentive worth P 5,000.00 for the 1st runner-up, P 3,000.00 for the 2nd runner-up and P2,000.oo for the 3rd runner-up.

Under the City Level Category, Brgy. New Banicain was declared over-all champion, winning a plaque and P8,000.00 cash incentive. In this category, Brgy. West Bajac-Bajac was 1st runner-up, Brgy. Gordon Heights 2nd runner-up and Brgy. New Asinan 3rd runner-up. They also received cash incentives worth P5,000.00, P3,000.00 and P2,000.00 accordingly.

Meanwhile, Barangays Pag-asa, Mabayuan, Kalaklan, West Tapinac, New Ilalim, New Kababae and New Kalalake received certificates of recognition for their participation in the City Level Category of the search.

The ‘’Search for the Most Outstanding Lupong Tagapamapaya of Olongapo City 2009’ in accordance with ‘Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards’ through the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Memorandum Circular 2008-102. This aims to strengthen the Katarungang Pambarangay more and to be able to resolve cases fairly and effectively in the barangay level.

The Search for the Most Outstanding Lupong Tagapamapaya of Olongapo City 2009’ City Awards Committee (CAC) was composed by DILG OIC-City Director Dennis Villasenor as chairman, Department of Justice representative Jaime Navarro as vice chair and PSUPT Samuel Evalle and Ruben delos Santos of the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) as member.
