Gov-elect Ebdane launches ‘Sulong Zambales’ program
CANDELARIA, Zambales — Governor-elect Hermogenes E. Ebdane Jr., has launched “Sulong Zambales,” a program of progressive change for his province “to give our province mates the community they want.”
Addressing some 20,000 Zambaleños and visitors at the town plaza, Ebdane thanked the voters who gave him a landslide victory of about 30,000 votes against incumbent Gov. Amor Deloso.
In an interview, Ebdane said his program of government for the development of Zambales will be based on a master plan that he himself crafted in response to the needs of his constituents.
He said he will give priority to the development of tourism, agrciulture, mineral resources, marine wealth and modern education in his program.
“I will do my best for the growth and development of Zambales for the benefit and happiness of our people,” he said.
For her part, Congreswoman-elect Mitos Magsaysay said: “Ebdane is the kind of leader Zambaleños have been waiting for. He has helped my district a lot even when he was still DPWH (Department of Public Works and Highways) Secretary.”
Former Vice Gov. Ramon Lacbain, one of the four candidates for vice governor who supported Ebdane, also won.
He was at the launching, along with Congressman Tony Diaz; reelected San Marcelino Mayor Jose Rodriguez, president of the Zambales Mayors League; and reelected Mayor Jean Misa Morana of this town.
Ebdane said “the grueling campaign was a lot tougher” than what he had gone through in his many years in government. mb.com.ph
