Barangay East Bajac-Bajac National Winner in Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentive and Economic Awards

The City Council has commended Barangay East Bajac-bajac in a Resolution No. 74 series of 2010, “A Resolution commending Barangay East Bajac-bajac as a National Winner in the competition of Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentive and Economic Awards (LTIEA) for the period of June 2008 to July 2009”

Mayor James “Bong” Gordon Jr. approved and signed the resolution on August 23, 2010.

The LTIEA is an award conferred to barangays with exemplary performance in judiciously and expeditiously resolving inter-personal and community conflicts referred to them for amicable settlement.

The selection of winners is based on the efficiency of operations, effectiveness in securing the objectives of the program, and creativity and resourcefulness of the mediators.

Barangay East Bajac-bajac’s lupong tagapamayapa resolved cases to a win-win situation agreed by both parties without any legal counsel involved to avoid expensive litigation. The Lupon mediators implore on mutual agreements that may result to the most agreeable settlement by both parties. The Katarungang Pambarangay has became “the shoulder to cry on” of residents.

The City commends the leadership of Barangay East Bajac-bajac for being of great service to its constituents by instilling justice at all times towards a more peaceful and orderly society.
