OLONGAPEÑOS TOP MILO LITTLE OLYMPICS
FRESH from the hard fought competitions in the recently concluded Palarong Pambansa, the young athletes from the different public and private schools of Olongapo City made a harvest of awards in the 2010 Milo Little Olympics Northern Luzon cluster held at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center (NRSCC), Lingayen, Pangasinan on July 30 – August 1, 2010.
“I’d like to acknowledge the effort of Nestle Philippines in creating such sports Olympics… it does not only develop teamwork among athletes but also deviates the attention of the youth from vices,” said Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr. whose program of governance gives priority to sports, among others.
The contest featured the following sports disciplines: athletics, badminton, chess, football, gymnastics, lawn tennis, scrabble , sepak takraw, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo and volleyball.
The winning Olongapo delegation are as follows:
