CITY GOV’T. 2009 REGIONAL NUTRITION AWARDEE

The National Nutrition Council Region III has recognized Olongapo City as an Outstanding City in Region for 2009, for its best practices and nutritional program, its impact and effectiveness, on Tuesday December 21, 2010 at Bale katimawan Hall, Pampanga PNP Office, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

“The award is based on best practices and accomplishments particularly on sustainable improvement in the nutritional well-being program for children as well as pregnant women in the city”, remarked Maria Vicenta C. Magpantay, OIC, National Nutrition Council, Region III.

Richel Eve Torralba, City Nutrition Action Officer, with the City Nutrition Committee received the award on behalf of Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr.
