OLONGAPO CITY STUDENT ATHLETES GEAR FOR CLRAA MEET 2011
The rigid training of student athletes from the public and private Elementary, Secondary and College has began on January 10, 2011 and will last up to February 11, 2011.
This is in preparation for the Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association Meet 2011, scheduled on February 19-25, 2011 to be held in Malolos, Bulacan.
The one (1) month preparation for the athletes in their field of sport are for Archery, Arnis, Athletics, Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Boxing, Chess, Football, Sepak Takraw, Sipa Takraw, Softball, Swimming, Gymnastics, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Volleyball.
Sports form part of the HELPS program of City Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr.
Sports provide skill, self-discipline and good sportmanship, moreso on the mental and physical well-being among student athletes.”remarked Mayor James “Bong” Gordon, Jr.
The Olongapo City Delegation will be headed by Dr. Ligaya B.
