INT’L. WOMEN’S MONTH SA ‘GAPO

The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and FL Anne Marie Gordon have jointly launched the observance of International Women’s Month in Olongapo City in solidarity with the rest of the world.

“Ang paggunita sa Women’s Month sa pangunguna ni FL Anne Marie Gordon ay para sa lahat ng kababaihan para matulungan sila at matugunan ang kanilang pangangailangan,” said Gene R. Eclarino, head of CSWDO at the recent flag-raising ceremonies at the Rizal Triangle Covered Court.

Also part of the Women's Month Celebration Is the International Women's Day on March 8, during which at 8:00 am, will be the awarding of Livelihood Capital Assistance and at the same time opening of all Activity Booths like OB-Gyne Consultation, Cancer Screening, Family Planning Consultation, Ferrous Sulfate Supplementation and Deworming, Dental Mission, Job Fair, Legal Consultation, Philhealth Registration, Beauty and Wellness, Free Demo on Fashion Accessories, Mobile Birth Registration and Mothers’ Class and Deworming.

The schedule of activities for the entire women’s month are as follows: March 1&2- MDG Presentation on HIV/AIDS at Congress

March 3- Education on GST/VAW

March4- Forum in “GO Negosyo in World Trade Center” Women Summit and 1st Friday Mass at FMA Hall (12:00 noon)

March 5- Ameresian Day

March 8- 5th Year Anniversary of Center for Women

March 14&15- Team Building

March 16- Free Sterilization

March 16-19- Youth Camp at San Narciso, Zambales

March 21- Focus Group Discussion of Women

March 24- Launching of Breast Feeding Area at City Hall and NVAW Documentation and Referral System Seminar.
