REGISTRATION OF VOTERS ONGOING!
Voters' registration has resumed on May 3, 2011 and will last up to October 31, 2012, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) has announced.
From Monday thru Saturday, inclusive of Holidays, Comelec offices will entertain registrants from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including transfer of registration records, change/correction of entries in the registration records, reactivation of registration records, and inclusion of registration records/reinstatement of name in the list of voters.
“Mas maganda kung maaga pa lamang ay magparehistro na para maiwasan ang pagkagahol sa oras at maiwasan ang mahabang pila,” advised Mayor James “Bong” Gordon Jr., "at sa mga may trabaho naman tuwing Lunes hanggang Biyernes, maari kayong magparehistro kapag Sabado."
Any Filipino citizen, who is at least 18 years of age, a resident of the Philippines for at least one year, and living in the place where he intends to vote for at least six months immediately preceding the election, may register.
Registrants must bring ANY of the following identifications:
1. Current Employees ID
2. Postal ID
3. Students ID or Library Card
4. Senior Citizens ID
5. Drivers License
6. NBI/PNP Clearance
7. Passport
8. SSS/GSIS ID
9. IBP ID
10.PRC ID
Community Tax Certificates (cedula) and Barangay Certifications will not be honored for purposes of registration.
