COMELEC EXPECTS FOR MORE REGISTRANTS

Five hundred forty nine (549) new voters were registered by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) here in Olongapo City with its continuing system of registration since May 3, 2011.

Comelec recorded one hundred twenty four (124) Corrections of Entries, one hundred eight (108) transferees from other City/Municipality, sixty three (63) reactivations and fifty (50) transferred voters from other barangays.

“Habang maaga pa lamang ay magparehistro na upang maiwasan ang pagkagahol sa oras at kumpletuhin din ang mga kinakailangan na requirements upang mapadali ang pag-file ng inyong registration,” said Mayor James “Bong” Gordon Jr.

Any Filipino citizen who is at least 18 years of age, a resident of the Philippines for at least one year, and living in the place where he intends to vote for at least six months immediately preceding the election may file their application for registration.

Registrants must bring any of the following identifications: Current Employees ID, Postal ID, Student ID or Library Card, Senior Citizens ID, Drivers License, NBI/PNP Clearance, Passport, SSS/GSIS ID, IBP ID and PRC ID.

Community Tax Certificate (cedula) and Barangay certification will not be honored for purposes of registration.
