Olongapo cybersex probed

OLONGAPO City ` The Department of Interior and Local Government office here has asked Mayor James L. Gordon to investigate the cybersex scandal allegedly involving city hall employees.
Olongapo City DILG director Eliseo de Guzman said his office has asked Gordon to direct the Office of the Vice Mayor to conduct an investigation into the cybersex issue.
De Guzman said the DILG has no jurisdiction to investigate the case since there was no complaint filed against Esther Rabago, a Sangguniang Panglunsod employee who earlier filed a sexual harassment case against Councilor Noel Atienza.
The case was forwarded by the DILG to MalacaƱang which ordered the respondent to comment within 15 days. Ramoncito Sapinoso, Atienza's brother-in-law, filed an affidavit backing Atienza's response to Rabago's allegations.
Sapinoso, also an SP employee, alleged that Rabago was engaged in cyber sex using the facilities of the City Hall. "There was an incident when she was assigned at the office of former vice mayor when she asked me to assist her on the internet how she can dare his foreign chatter to undress and do some immoral acts," the affidavit stated.
"The affidavit made by Sapinoso was probably an attempt to destroy the credibility of the complainant and divert the issue from the sexual harassment issue to cybersex," De Guzman said.
