Top real estate developer Reghis Romero II projected that ongoing infrastructure development in Central Luzon would bring a strong economic upswing in the Angeles City and Olongapo City areas.
Romero projected that Angeles City and Olongapo City, as well as commercial centers in neighboring provinces, would have higher economic growth in the next few years due to the present construction of the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway Project (SCTEP) and the NorthRail project.
Romero stressed however that political leaders must get their acts together in order to make the local communities achieve the most in economic advantages from these infrastructure improvements.
"Political leaders must get their acts together. I am referring to national leaders," he said, as he explained that economic performance defines the future of the people.
Romero said the country needs good leaders with good values and principles on patriotism and nationalism, especially those culled from the teachings of National Hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal.
A very active national officer of the Knights of Rizal, Romero said that Rizal is the only internationally acclaimed Filipino philosopher, whose teachings are admired even in foreign countries.
According to Romero, the country's leaders should strive to improve on values through proper education on love of country, honesty and hard work.
"By hard work, we must be willing to go the extra mile and always work towards excellence," Romero said.
