Subic-bound yacht missing
SUBIC, Zambales – The Coast Guard searching for a missing Kingston Yacht with three unidentified Filipino crewmen on board that was expected to arrive at Subic Bay Freeport Thursday.
Lt. Junior Grade Armand Balilo, PCG spokesman, said Tae Wook Kang, a Korean national, sought PCG assistance to locate the missing vessel which sailed when a typhoon hit the northern part of the Philippines.
Kingston Yacht reportedly left Hong Kong last September 28. Jun Amador, head of Seaport Department’s Port Traffic Division, said his office has no record or manifest of the yacht’s arrival.
Information received said that the vessel could have been diverted to other port of destination during the onslaught of Typhoon Hanna .
