SUBIC BAY FREEPORT – Pacific Pearl Airways (PPA), the country’s newest airline, has started flying the Subik - kalibo route, providing direct flights between two of the country’s top tourism destinations.

The airline successfully passed last week the “providing flight” required by the Air Transportation Office (ATO) for its new route by flying from Subic a 42-passenger- delegation headed by PPA president and CEO Kristoffer Miel Jimenez.

Local officials led by Aklan Rep. Florencio Miraflors welcomed Pacific Pearl’s Coeing 737-200 advanced jet aircraft upo touching down at the Kalibo Airport, 45 minutes later.

Jimenez said that by opening the Subik – kalibo route, Pacific Pearl hopes to bring the growing multi-national community in Subic, as well as residents of northern Luzon, to other exotic places in the vIsayan region.

At the same time, the airline seeks to attract passengers from Kalibo and nearby areas to see Subic Bay and experience unique fun tours at theme parks like Zoobic Safari, Ocean Adventure, and Jest Camp.
